Thank you for your interest in presenting Shuckin’ Shack to your clients! As the Brand Manager, I work directly with consultants on a daily basis hosting education calls, answering questions, providing content and photos for ads, and whatever else you might need to be successful. Once you refer a client to Shuckin’ Shack they will be working specifically with our Development Director through the education process. We look forward to working with you and ultimately closing deals together!

The Shuckin’ Shack Education Process

In an effort to be a great partner and communicate in real-time, any consultant who sends us a referral will receive automated emails as your client progresses through the above process as well as regular check-ins with our Development Director. We feel communication is key to working together and ultimately closing deals!

Once we receive your referral, we enter your client’s information into our CRM and park them at this stage. Within 15 minutes of adding them to the CRM, they will receive an email and a text message asking them to schedule a call with the Shuckin’ Shack Development Director. If they do not schedule a call at this point, we email and text them again 3 days later and then 8 days after that.

Once an initial call is scheduled, individuals are moved into this stage. If you would like to be part of the initial call, we are happy to host you- just let the Development Director know as they are scheduling!

After the initial call, our Development Director will walk your client through our Unit Economics Calculator. This tool will help them estimate the potential profitability and sustainability of a Shuckin’ Shack business.

Once our Development Director familiarizes your client with our unit economics, they will review our FDD with your client. Your client receives a link to our FDD and during the call, the Development Director walks them through the entire document and answers questions to make sure they feel comfortable.

If your client feels confident with everything that was reviewed in the FDD, they will then spend time with our Development Director as they explain the complete Shuckin’ Shack business model. This step allows your clients to continue to learn more about what it looks like to operate a Shuckin’ Shack business.

During validation, your client will have the opportunity to speak directly to current Shuckin’ Shack Franchise Owners. This is a two-fold process; prospects get to ask questions about what it’s like to own and operate a Shuckin’ Shack and current Owners get to learn a little about your client and provide feedback on whether or not they feel they are a good fit.

At Discovery Day, your client will meet the corporate team, tour a couple of Shuckin’ Shack locations, and learn everything they need to know to make a decision for themselves and their families. By the end of the day, they should have a comprehensive view of the brand, and our corporate team will be able to decide if they are a good fit for the system.

Within 48 hours of attending Discovery Day, we will set up a final interview with your client to ensure everyone is aligned on expectations for the partnership and go over any final details.

Congratulations, it has been mutually decided this is a great fit for both parties! Thank you for referring us the perfect Shuckin’ Shack partner. At this point, you should feel satisfied you just changed an entrepreneur’s life, and to thank you for your effort, we are happy to write you a commission check!

Features to Highlight When Presenting Shuckin’ Shack

Seafood restaurants, especially oyster bars, are unique within the casual dining industry. As a franchise model built on a foundation of providing high-quality, sustainable seafood, in a fun, casual environment, Shuckin’ Shack leads the sector with virtually no national competition.

The start-up costs for Shuckin’ Shack are significantly lower than many other casual dining restaurants, with an initial investment starting at $252,700. Even with our low initial investment, Owners are generating over $1.3 million in Net Sales annually, resulting in a sales to investment percentage of 266%! While the recent COVID-19 crisis was a difficult time for many restaurants, Shuckin’ Shack came out strong based on high demand for fresh seafood. By pivoting to delivery, curbside pickup, and take-home family boil kits, we are on track for another record breaking sales year!

Whether you’re in a coastal community or smack in the middle of the map, the distribution and availability of our fresh, sustainable seafood products are without limits. Our oysters, crab, lobster, shrimp, and fish are available everywhere and delivered directly to all our locations. We have spent over a decade ensuring the quality of our food and developing vendor and supplier relationships across the southeast and beyond.

We believe in keeping things as simple as possible operationally. We think of ourselves as a “full-service restaurant in a fast-casual box.” By making the best use of smaller spaces, we limit the number of employees working at any given time to reduce labor costs. We also take a no-frills approach to our menu as there is no advantage to complicating products that are naturally delicious and desirable as they are. This allows us to require less equipment, making more efficient use of space.

It’s more than just a “once in a while feeling.” It’s our motto! Our Owners love what they do, know who they are, and aren’t shy about letting people know about it. Shuckin’ Shack Owners LOVE working in a place where they can be themselves, let their freak flags fly, and bring a unique brand of fun into their customers’ lives every day.

Here at the Shuckin’ Shack, we’re passionate about 4 things- FOOD, FUN, FRESHNESS, and FRANCHISE OWNER SUCCESS! Our tiered royalty structure begins at only 3.5% for the first year, allowing Owners the ability to quickly start earning those “clams!” This desire to grow correctly and intelligently allows us to position Franchise Owners for success, as the corporate team cultivates stronger brand awareness, streamlined operations, and the opportunity for scalability.
